CHRISTMAS...PART II

I just had to add some more really cute pics....

CHRISTMAS

Christmas is the best! I love decorating, shopping, wrapping, and all those festive things! So we got a tree, decorated it and Luke LOVES it. It's almost as though he forgets how pretty it is....every morning when we turn the lights on...he opens his mouth with this huge 'OH MY' look. It really is adorable.
We had a couple gifts sent to us that needed to be opened right away...this is what Luke loved the most...the peanuts around the present. They were EVERYWHERE! So Dave and I were excited to set up for Christmas morning. Once we put Luke to bed....we started working. We had decided that since Luke loves balls...that we would keep to sports (and a little Elmo) this year. We bought him a basketball hoop and a soccer goal as the gifts sitting out from Santa:-) The red tricycle is from Grandma and Grandpa Breslin...he is trying so hard to get the hang of it! Christmas morning really was so exciting...Luke is so animated! We told Jesus Happy Birthday and then we opened our gifts.

Here is a picture before Christmas...heading out to a Christmas party...doesn't Luke look so excited?! He actually had a ball at the parties:-)

Oooo....one of the best things was seeing our friend Annaleese!

We are all thankful for the birth of Jesus!

The Christmas Story

If you've never seen The Christmas Story...it's a must watch:-)
We set off for a Christmas parade...so fun. I packed the warmest coat, hat, gloves, etc. for Luke. Once we got him all bundled up...he looked like the little boy from the movie who could hardly move because he was so bundled up. Luke didn't really get the whole glove thing...so when people would come up to give him candy...daddy gladly took it for him. Although he didn't know what to think of all the layers...he loved seeing all the lights, people, horses, and Santa!

Random Pics

Wow...it has been a while since I've been able to really sit down and post. I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st and Christmas will then be here in 24 days. I have not even started my shopping, got my Christmas cards, or decorated at all...but I'm looking forward to getting everything done in the next 23 days.
One of my callings is to serve other mommies. So I am a coordinator of a group called MOPS...Mothers of Preschoolers http://mops.org. I am loving it. I feel accomplished and I get to be a little crafty. Another steering team member and I made these adorable little Christmas trees to be centerpieces for our tables. I think they turned out to be quite adorable if I must say so myself! We have been very blessed to have a little one who will nap with us. If he does nap with us...he will nap for hours. My guys are loving their nap...
So I am not a fan of the early morning Black Friday thing...but, I did go out with a friend around 8:00...not bad. I was not out to Christmas shop, but to just see what I could see. I was able to find this little race car at Target for 10 bucks...Luke is loving it!!

He also loves his raisins!

This was taken at the doctors office. He went to the doctor like 3 times in 2 weeks...we are thankfully all better now.

Wedding Bells

One of our dear friends (actually both are dear) got married last weekend...so sorry I don't have a picture of the bride and groom. Does that happen once you have kids? Luke was dancing the night away...bedtime...no thanks! It was really so cute to watch him interact with other kiddos. One of the flower girls was all about dancing with him:-)
Dave was the best man...actually one of them...there were 2.

Rehearsal was hysterical. Luke wanted to be with Dada....he made his way up to the alter at least 15 times!

I did get a picture of half the guys. These four guys worked at a summer camp for years together. The groom...Eric...is in the white shirt. Dave and I are
thrilled for the new Mr. and Mrs. EDV!

On the Farm

So my mom has a little farm...chickens, roosters, ducks, dogs, fish, a bird, a cat, a donkey, a miniature horse, and I think that might be all. She says that it is therapeutic for her. She loves sharing her love for animals with her grandchildren. This is Mosby the donkey....heehaw.
Side picture...This to me is little Dave...
Here are some of her chickens...

This is my moms newest addition...Sugar! When I was little we had a little pony named Sugar as well. This miniature horse was already named Sugar...it was meant to be.

Pumpkin Fun

We had such a great time being outside enjoying the Fall! Really...the things we will do for some cute pics!
Mommy and Luke
I don't know if he knew what to think of so many pumpkins:-)
This was cracking me up...I thought this was such a cute little chair. Then the man who made it came over and took the cushion off and guess what...it was a mini toilet. Hmm...

Lollipop, Lollipop, oh Lollipop!

So the Breslin family loves candy! I'm talking about Dave and his brothers and their children...and now Luke! Up to this point he has had a cupcake on his birthday, a chocolate chip cookie (given to him by a more experienced mom), and some sips of sweet tea. Can I just say he was loving this grape lollipop!

Just for Dada

This is one of Dave's favorite pictures!!
Our little man

This Kiss

Can we all just say...adorable! We had a fantastic time visiting our friends! So Luke and I get off the plane and there waiting for us...Amy and Annaleese. Luke and Annaleese picked up where they left off over 4 months ago. It really was neat to listen to them laugh and talk together.
One of the best parts of the trip was going to this Game Ranch. I don't know who had more fun...Amy and I or the kids?! Well...I do...we did! We walked out of the back door of this place and there waiting for us...deer. They were trying to get into our bags to get food. Annaleese was screaming, Amy was trying to help her, I was laughing and wanting to take a picture and Luke just wanted to find a rock:-)
Halfway through this little ranch... I realized that this probably was not the safest place. I guess this feeling came when we read a sign that said "Don't get close, if I bite, I get killed." These animals are still animals...but we continued on. Here are some bears...I was amazed.
Like I said...who had fun?
At the end of our adventure, we packed up and headed for the nearest Chick-Fil-A. I don't think we're Game Ranch people. I would however like to take Luke to see animals from either behind the glass or in the car:-)

Happenings...

Here are some of Dave's guys...we are praying that Luke has some great mentors
as he gets older! The Schoeffel family took care of Dave during his bachelor days:-) Why buy toys when you have a treadmill...we loved having Miss Eveley over to play!
I see you...
The thing that makes Luke the most happy is being outside and throwing rocks!

New Shoes...New Backpack and New Friends!

I just loved the first day of school or should I say I loved getting the new stuff for the first day of school. New binders, markers, pencils, SHOES and a BACKPACK! While we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa Breslin...we found this adorable backpack. I know...Luke is only 1, but you can never be too young for back to school supplies:-)

I love watching Luke with his Dada
It's so fun to watch your little one interact with other little ones. Here is Luke and Austin looking at the doggy. We miss having Stephanie, Joel and Austin around...but we'll see you soon!
Enjoying some sun together:-)

Family Fun...

This summer we were able to go to Cape Cod and visit Grandma and Grandpa Breslin....
This is our first of 3 July 4th parades:-) So...Luke decided that he would not sleep unless he was in between us...here are the boys fast asleep. Poor thing (Luke) did end of having an ear infection. NF...NO FUN!

These pics are actually at the Orange County Fair
WALKING IS SO FUN!
Luke loves Grandma May...it is very cute how Luke looks at her.
Here we are back in Cambridge, MA
We were able to visit the midwives and nurses that helped me through my pregnancy.
They were so amazing...we felt so blessed!

Of course we had to stop by the beach... Luke loved the water...
...and the sand.
